I’m Ildikó Takács, a Budapest-based Compliance & Corporate Governance Consultant and Corporate Compliance Lawyer, with more than 15 years of in-house legal and compliance experience.

My compliance career began in the cement manufacturing industry at Holcim and later took me through leading international companies including Michelin, Borsodi/Molson Coors, Tesco, Vodafone, TÜV SÜD, BIG Energia Holdings and Mercedes-Benz, working across manufacturing, automotive, energy, telecommunications, FMCG and certification services.

At Holcim Hungary, where I spent more than 11 years, I served as Head of Legal & Compliance, working closely with Management and the Board on legal, governance, commercial, compliance and business matters.

Lifelong learning has always been an important part of my professional journey — combining hands-on experience with continuous academic and professional development.

I also value knowledge sharing — with students, professionals and business leaders — because I believe that practical experience becomes even more valuable when it is shared.

I believe compliance should help a business move forward — through clear processes, transparent communication and a strong Speak Up culture.
